Although a fragile and constantly changing figure, a player’s transfer market value is one of the criteria upon which many bases their judgments about one’s performance. That is why we have chosen some of the eras during which value was at its lowest and highest, as well as where it stands now. When the French striker first started his career with the Ligue 1 side Lyon in 2005, the young talent’s market value as a player in Europe’s top flight was less than a million Euros, which might be considered as close to nothing for some clubs.

As he went on to prove himself to his team and the world and rose up the ranks at his club, Karim Benzema's transfer market value rose higher and higher as well, and after four years in Ligue 1, Real Madrid came knocking on the French club’s door in order to sign their newfound talent. Ultimately, a €29 million-rated Benzema joined the Madrid side for a fee of €35 million in 2009, which jumpstarted perhaps a golden age for Los Blancos as they went on to conquer Europe in the 2010s.

his outstanding performances and goal-scoring feats earned him numerous accolades, as Benzema's transfer market value soared, rising to an all-time high of €60 million in 2017 when he was a 27-year-old striker at the beginning of his peak.

One of the more interesting facts about Karim Benzema is how crowded his family actually is. Benz was born in Lyon, France, to quite a crowded family. He has eight siblings in total, with three brothers and five sisters, whose names are as follows: Gressy, Nafissa, Sabri, Lydia, Farid, Laeticia, Sofia, and Celia Benzema. Of course, we have not forgotten about telling you about their parents either. Karim Benzema's family is such a big one thanks to Wahida Djebbara and Hafid Benzema, their parents.

Based on Karim’s posts on social media apps such as Instagram, the football superstar seems to have a close relationship with his loving mother, as he posted a heartwarming photo of himself embracing his mother during her birthday party. You might also like to know that not only is Karim Benzema a part of such a big family, he himself is a parent as well.
